A Tarted Up Pineapple Quilt
Hello my blog friends. It is with great joy that we are back here. Today we bring you a beautiful pattern that is a lot of fun to make: the Tarted Up Pineapple Quilt. For this pattern as well as any other it is important to rate some points that must be taken into consideration such as :
– it is important that before starting your handiwork, you wash the fabric beforehand. Washing the fabric prevents the design from deforming and staining, washing it as the excess dye comes out and the fabric shrinks in the washing.
– Good quality fabrics do not shrink or paint, but it is best to avoid washing the fabric anyway.
Iron the fabric. To remove folds and make cutting easier, clean the fabric with an iron. Use steam or water spray to avoid burning the fabric.
Do not iron the cotton batting, only the quilt fabrics. Make arrangements.
Now let’s get to the pattern, here we have a few points, if you know the desired size for a tarted pineapple quilt, measure the individual size of each piece to be sewn.
Remember the seam allowance; each side of the fabric will be sewn to another by a 0.6 mm hem. So 1.2 cm is added to the length and width of each piece. The size of the quilt and of each piece is arbitrary unless you are following a recipe. Therefore, work with small or large pieces, depending on your experience.
TIP: Use a washable cloth pen to mark measurements on fabrics before cutting them. Sewing chalk and 6B pencils are also good markers.
Cut out the pieces. For now, concentrate on the front of the A Tarted Up Pineapple Quilt; cut each of the pieces of fabric that you will sew together. Place each piece on the cutting base, and at the top, the clear ruler. Use the rotary cutter to cut the fabric, carefully following the marks and using the ruler to guide the cutter. Remember the old adage, “measure twice, cut once,” Don’t make mistakes and lose fabric.
Plan the quilt; before you start spread the pieces out on a wide surface, such as the floor, to assemble the A Tarted Up Pineapple Quilt visually the way you want it. Take the time to be satisfied with the arrangement of the pieces.
If you feel better, you can add pieces and prints of different colors. Replace fabrics that have already been cut with ones with different patterns. Keep the order of the fabric lines by using post-its or chalk to mark each piece.
Here is a step by step guide to help you make this beautiful pattern. It is important to open and follow the tutorial for a better execution of the project. Ok my dears?
A kiss from Mommy until next time.
